Target — Picking the correct social media to use is important when you want to maximize your social media marketing efforts. Using all of the social media platforms would be virtually impossible, pick the ones that r most used by your target market. If your target market is not using that particular platform, don’t use it. When it comes to marketing online for small businesses narrowing your niche, really is better.
A question to ask yourself if you are unsure how to target your market: Who is my ideal client? If your answer is everyone I would tell you to think again. Remember, the more narrow your target the better. Gaining a complete understanding of that narrowed down target market is one of the greatest ways to get organized, save time, save money and become more effective with you overall business marketing efforts.
Flexibility — What’s here today, will be gone (or changed) tomorrow. Stay aware and in tune to the ever changing world of social media. I like to listen to podcasts, read relevant blogs and keep track of my analytics to make sure that what I’m doing is getting my desired results.
Organize – A lot like the bookkeeping for your business you need to keep the social media organized in order to be efficient. Whether you use a Virtual Assistant, enroll in a paid service or use free services, you must get organized. Remember you should do the work that is most suited to you. If you’re not good at something, assign someone else to do it.
